Flashback to 1997. I was an incoming freshman at the University of the Philippines Los Baños. I was required to take a summer class even before first year starts because even though I passed the entrance exam, there were some subjects that they feel I might find hard to cope. Little did I know that it was the summer that will change my life forever.
One lazy afternoon, a group of students showed up in our Chemistry class. They were members of UP Students for Christ (UP-SFC) and they performed a few minutes mime presentation about Jesus and the cross. After that, they gave away pieces of paper asking whether we want to know Jesus more. And I ticked YES.
And fifteen years later, I realized that the same question would be posed to me everyday. With so much busyness in life, saying YES to knowing Him more isn't always easy. With so much clutter, His voice isn't always clear to me.
Help me to be still, Lord and help me to choose You always.
